In my experience, children learn exceedingly well when they don't notice they're being taught something. So I endeavor to make every Mr. Mike visit an enjoyable, fact-laden experience...that's a whole lot of fun. I've developed a variety of presentations and programs that allow me to entertain and inspire children as well as adults. You can even ask me to customize a dinorific program to work specifically for your needs.
An interactive discussion that encourages children to participate, ask questions and share their own dino knowledge. Mr. Mike involves the kids by displaying dino models, fossils...and ancient shark teeth and shares easy-to-understand facts about the dinosaurs and other extinct beasts.
Content is customized to be appropriate for all ages -- even college students and senior citizens!
Although Jerry the Book-Lovin' Gator Puppet is not a dinosaur (he's a distant cousin), he still thoroughly enjoys reading dino stories to the children. He's an outspoken advocate for literacy and (along with Mr. Mike) seeks to encourage a love for reading and leads by example.
He'll share some of Mr. Mike's own stories as well as other popular dino books.
Mr. Mike always wanted to host a game show, so he invented one!
Here's the challenge: can you tell the difference between an actual ancient animal name...and one that Mr. Mike made up? Good luck!
Contestants compete for cool dino prizes while the audience weighs in with their opinions.
It's "so easy to play...yet so hard to win!"
How do you FULLY ENGAGE a group of dino-lovers? Let their imaginations envision and create their own dinosaur model! With Mr. Mike's help, they'll create a Brachiosaurus or Plesiosaurus...or they'll invent their own! Or they can choose to create their own dino T-shirts.
This activity is best for smaller groups (under 30) since it can require a significant amount of individual attention. Larger groups can be accommodated with assistance from staff/instructors.
The age at which children begin their fascination with dinosaurs is trending younger and younger all the time. Some parents report that for their child, it began at 18 months!
So for those kids that have already been into dinosaurs for a couple years, I offer the Mysteriosaurus program. It's a group activity where kids are challenged to identify a set of bones (and reach a consensus with the other children in their group) as to what animal they all "discovered."
Prefer your "fact-packed dino-rhymes" with a little melody? Presto! Mr. Mike teams up with his pal, Dr. Bob, to perform a concert of catchy, fact-packed dino-centric tunes. Many of the dinorific ditties are "direct descendants" of Mr. Mike's own dinorific poems.
The Dinorific Duo's musical genres range from reggae and country...to blues and rock 'n roll. The kids will love it and any musical aficionados? They'll really dig it too. Click on the logo above to learn more.
